I love to use colorful, decorative bottles. I like to keep a basket next to my stove using these bottles with olive oil, grapeseed oil, extra virgin olive oil and wine vinegar. Not only does it keep these items that use on a regular basis handy, it helps me to control how much of these liquids I use. Better for our health, and our pocketbook.
The blue bottle is a wine bottle (I just loved the deep blue color) and the others are ones that I picked up at the thrift store and at kitchen store clearance sales. I rarely pass these decorative bottles up when I see them.

Lemon Extract
Here I used one for my homemade lemon extract. They’re great to have on hand to fill with flavored oils, homemade extracts or vinegars and flavored liquors for gifts.

Dish Soap
I also use one for my dish detergent. It looks great setting on my countertop next to the sink, and it also saves on the amount of detergent that I use.
I’ve been making this waffle recipe for years. It can be varied by adding up to 1/2 wheat flour in place of unbleached white. You can also add blueberries, raspberries or blackberries easily by folding them into the batter before pouring it onto the waffle grill, or I spoon blueberries onto the batter after I have it poured onto the grill. Serve with jam or my
