Living frugally and simply is a way of life. It means different things to different people. I have been struggling with myself about how to approach the content of this blog. As I’m sure you can tell, I’m not a writer. But I want to share what I know, and I hope that I can provide some inspiration and support for others that are trying to simplify their lives.
There are many blogs out there that are very well written and provide a lot of good information and support for those that are trying to reduce their debt or find ways to cut costs. I have links in my sidebar of those that I have found provide quality information. I have turned to these blogs many times for the inspiration to keep on track when I was trying to get rid of credit card debt. And I have eliminated that debt. But it’s always nice to know that there are others going through the same thing.
Right now I am researching places to retire. My husband is retirement age, I’m not there yet. But I want to live closer to family, and I would like to live in an area that is more environmentally green, where I can plant my garden, have my chickens, and perhaps run my business from home (the one I am trying to get off the ground, while working full time). This is the goal I am working toward now.
So I decided that I would post about my journey, the one I am now taking to get to the place that I want to be. I think that I will write about the day to day things that I do that will take me to that place. This will hold me accountable, and maybe you will glean some things that will help you to the place that you are trying to reach.
So I hope that you will check in from time to time, and let me know what you think, or what you are doing. If you have any questions, please contact me. I am by no means an expert, but I am willing to share anything that I know.
